Solar Installer executes 4 solar power plants in Upper Egypt’s Benban

Egypt’s Solar Installer has completed four solar power plants in Benban Solar Park in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Aswan, at capacities totalling 200 MW, said its chief executive on Saturday.

Benban Solar Park is the largest worldwide that consists of four phases. The first phase was inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in July 2018.

“We had started the experimental operations of the four solar power plants,” Abdallah Mahgoub further said.

The solar plants are a joint venture between Spanish energy giant TSK, Emirati Enviromena Power Systems, and Egyptian Rowad Modern Engineering, added Mahgoub.

As for Solar Installer, it is one of the leading firms in the Middle East and Africa specialising in Solar PV (photovoltaic), EPC services (engineering, procurement, and construction), and O&M (operating and maintenance).
