Telecom Egypt Awaits Integrated Operator License Today

Telecom Egypt(TE) (ETEL-CA) is awaiting the decisive meeting held by National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) and chaired by Minister Atef Helmy to discuss offering the integrated telecom license which will allow the company to offer landline, mobile and internet services, Algomhouriya newspaper reported.

Eng. Mohamed El-Nawawi, CEO of Telecom Egypt, stated that mobile market represents 90 % of total telecom market revenues in Egypt and entering this market is a matter of life and death.

He pointed out that, company’s revenues will record Zero within few years without mobile license.

The Minister asserted that the last offering will be by the end of December 2013, so TE will allow the services and the firms started to solve all its outstanding problems between the providers of mobile phone services and TE.
