Trial Of Nazif, Ghaly, El Adly Over License Plates Adjourned
Compensation Circuit, at South Cairo Court, adjourned considering the license plate case, in which Ahmed Nazif- former Prime Minister, Yousef Boutros Ghaly- former Finance Minister, and Habib El Adly- former interior minister, in addition to the owner of the company that manufacture German license plates, till December 8th.
More than 52 lawyers had filed lawsuits; calling for compensations due to the harms that took place.
The claimants also called for EGP 30 million owing to their commitment to pay EGP 165, the license value, as a condition to issue licenses for the cars.
Cairo Criminal Court has imprisoned Ahmed Nazif and the owner of the German company for one year with hard labor, 10 years for Boutros Ghaly in absentia, and 5 years for Habib El Adly, in addition to deposing and fining EGP 92.561.588 million.
