U.S. coronavirus cases top 700,000

The total number of coronavirus cases in the U.S. has topped 700, 664 on Saturday, according to NBC News’ tracking.

The U.S. crossed that threshold as Virginia confirmed 562 new cases and 27 deaths, and Ohio reported 249 probable cases on Saturday. Puerto Rico also reported 50 new cases in addition to two deaths.
