U.S. NOW Vitamins braces for its debut product line in Egypt

U.S. NOW Vitamins, part of food and vitamin maker NOW International, is looking to partner with Egyptian Sofico Pharm Co. to set up its first production line in Egypt.

Established in 2000, NOW International currently expands its products in six continents and in more than 70 countries worldwide.

The new production line will be with initial investments of 200 million Egyptian pounds ($11.9 million), according to a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Investment on Tuesday.

Egyptian Investment Minister Sahar Nasr on Tuesday met with a number of officials in NOW Vitamins, in the presence of U.S Charge d’Affaires in Egypt Tom Goldberger and Hossam Mansour, head of the Egyptian Food Safety Authority.
