U.S. stock market briefing 05/04/2023

The United States market witnessed a fall in the Dow by a percentage of 0.24 to 33,482.72. The index gained 80.34 points, recording a day high value of 33,543.84 and a day low value of 33,376.27.

The NASDAQ, however, dropped by -1.07 percent to close at 11,996.86, after it lost 129.47 points. The index recorded a day high value of 12,086.75 and a day low value of 11,931.84.

The S&P 500 fell by -0.25 percent and lost 10.22 points. The index closed at 4,090.38 after recording a day high value of 4,099.69 and a day low value of 4,072.56.
