U.S. stock market briefing 13/04/2023

The U.S. stock market closed high on Thursday, with the Dow rising by 1.14 percent to 34,029.69. The index gained 383.19 points, recording a day high value of 34,054.99 and a day low value of 33,605.17.

S&P 500 as well inched up by a percentage of 1.33 percent to close at 4,146.22 after it gained 54.27 points. It recorded a day high value of 4,150.26 and a day low value of 4,099.40.

The NASDAQ index climbed significantly by 1.99 percent and gained 236.93 points. It closed at 12,166.27, recording a day high value of 12,178.80 and a day low value of 11,995.94.
