URGENT: Egypt keeps fuel prices unchanged after quarterly review

Egypt’s automatic fuel pricing committee decided on Thursday to keep domestic petroleum product prices unchanged after reviewing exchange-rate movements and Brent crude prices during the July-September quarter against the previous quarter.

The committee assessed changes in the exchange rate and global oil prices, alongside domestic and international developments affecting its pricing mechanism, and decided against adjusting prices.

The decision followed a Cabinet directive to resume the committee’s work. The committee also took into account global petroleum product prices and pricing measures implemented in previous periods.
