URGENT: Egypt’s net FX reserves hit $53.009 bln in April – central bank

Egypt’s net foreign exchange reserves rose to $53.009 billion at the end of April, up from $52.831 billion in March, central bank data showed on Wednesday.

The increase of $178 million represents a 0.34 per cent month-on-month rise, reflecting continued external inflows despite a challenging global economic backdrop.
