URGENT: Egypt’s remittances 13.5% y/y up in May – CBE

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad rose 13.5 per cent year-on-year to $3.9 billion in May from $3.4 billion a year earlier, the central bank said on Monday.

During July/May of fiscal year 2025/26 (July-April), remittances surged 31.2 per cent year-on-year to around $43.1 billion, compared with $32.8 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.
