WHO describes Gaza hospital situation ‘catastrophic’

The World Health Organisation (WHO) warned on Monday that health services in Gaza strip had suffered “catastrophic” damage, with most hospitals no longer functioning.

The warning came hours after a shell struck the second floor of a hospital in northern Gaza, killing 12 people, according to the Hamas-led Health Ministry and a medical worker.
