‘Winter is now the real threat’ – Motaz Azaiza
“Winter is now the real threat,” said Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Azaiza during a live show with Bassem Youssef on Wednesday.
The 11-minute live show has now over 2.7 million views and in the video, Azaiza explain the current situation in the Gaza Strip.
Azaiza explained Israel’s tactic to trap the Palestinian people into the south of the strip, where they can bomb them all.
The 24-year-old journalist also said that Israel ordered the evacuation of Palestinians from the north to “safe zones” in the south which were “by no means safe.”
He also highlighted that media tends to ignore the deaths of the Palestinians in the West Bank. Despite being smaller in number, Azaiza insisted that it is as important as the Gaza coverage.
Both Youssef and Azaiza agreed to start another live show for people to get more updates.
Youssef at last prayed for Azaiza’s safety and assured him that people are on his side.
