Yanis Varoufakis named Greece’s New Finance Minister: Govt

Greece’s new finance minister will be Yanis Varoufakis, a 53-year-old radical left-wing economist, the anti-austerity Syriza-led government announced on Tuesday.

Varoufakis, who holds dual Greek and Australian nationality, will have the job of leading talks with the European Union over Syriza’s aim to re-negotiate Greece’s massive international bailout.
