YouTube announced on Wednesday the launch of its first official shopping channel in South Korea on June 30. According to Reuters, the Alphabet-owned company is currently focusing on becoming more “shoppable.”
The new shopping channel will start as a 90-day project and will launch in Korean language. It will also start by livestreaming shopping content from around 30 brands.
A YouTube spokesperson said “We may experiment with a variety of YouTube Shopping features from time to time.”
