250 Chinese Eminent Figures Spend New Year Holidays in Hurghada

Egypt’s Hurghada received Sunday evening a Chinese tourist delegation, which comprises 250 eminent and media figures who came to the Red Sea city to spend the Chinese (Lunar) New Year holidays.

The Chinese delegation was received by the Egyptian Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou and the Governor of Red Sea Major General Ahmed Abdallah, with the presence of China’s ambassador to Cairo.

From his part, the Egyptian Minister said he is expecting more Chinese tourists in February after China had recently lifted the travel advisory for Egypt. He also noted that around 3,000 Chinese tourists have visited Egypt since the end of January 2014.

From the same vein, Chinese Ambassador to Cairo Song Aigu commended the bilateral ties between the two countries, saying “they are doing well” and China’s investments in Egypt are constantly increasing.
