Iran reports 66 deaths due to coronavirus, infections surpass 1,500

Iran’s health ministry announced on Monday that the death toll from an outbreak of coronavirus in the country has risen to 66, Reuters reported citing state television. The total number of those infected with the coronavirus in Iran had soared to 1,501, the ministry added.
Iran has become the epicentre of the virus outbreak in the Middle East, having recorded the highest number of coronavirus deaths outside China.
