Egypt reports fewer coronavirus infections, toll hits 9,746 on Monday

Egypt reported a decline in the number of daily new coronavirus confirmed cases on Monday, according to a health ministry statement.

Egypt has 346 new cases, taking the toll to 9,746 on Monday, compared with 436 a day earlier, the country’s Ministry of Health said.

The country also announced 8 new deaths took the tally of virus fatalities to 533. But 93 more patients recovered and have been discharged from quarantine hospitals, for a total of 2,172 recoveries, the statement said.
