Egypt records 1,332 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday
Egypt reported 1,332 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, giving a total tally of 58,141 infections.
The health ministry also reported 87 new deaths, bringing the total deaths from the coronavirus to 2,361, Ahram Online reported.
The statement said that 402 patients have been discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 15,535.
Ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed said the number of cases who had retested negative, including those who have fully recovered, has now reached 17,022.
Earlier Tuesday, Egypt’s government has decided to ease its precautionary measures in place since March starting next Saturday, allowing restaurants, cafes and sporting clubs to reopen at a reduced capacity of 25 percent in the first phase.
