Egypt records 1,566 new coronavirus cases, 83 deaths on Monday

Egypt’s Health Ministry on Monday announced the detection of 1,566 new cases of coronavirus across the country, bringing the total tally to 66,754, according to Ahram Online.

The ministry’s daily bulletin announced 83 people died of the virus over the past 24 hours, raising total deaths to 2,872.

The country’s highest daily record was recorded with 1,774 infections on 19 June, and with 91 deaths on 14 June.

Up to 412 patients have recovered from the flu-like virus and been discharged from hospitals, which brought the total number of recoveries to 17,951.
