Allianz Egypt, Zewail City for Science donate 12 Isolation Cabins to State Hospitals
Allianz Egypt, in cooperation with Zewail City for Science and Technology, delivered 12 fully equipped isolation cabins to several leading state hospitals.
Ayman Hegazy, Chairman and CEO of Allianz Companies in Egypt, confirmed that Allianz believes in its social role and the importance of supporting the huge efforts undertaken by the Egyptian state to confront the Coronavirus.
He said: “As a result of the partnership between Allianz and Zewail City for Science, Technology and Innovation we successfully produced the medical isolation cabins according to strict standards to ensure the safety and protection for physicians and nurses while examining infected patients.”
He also added that it is a part of the protocol signed between the two parties and aims to develop scientific research and support state institutions to cope with the repercussions of coronavirus.
Mahmoud Abed Rabouh, CEO of Zewail City for Science, Technology and Innovation, praised the cooperation with Allianz Egypt pointing out that the speed and accuracy with which medical isolation cabins were implemented is an application of the scientific approach to which Zewail City is committed in the field of scientific research.
He said that the cabins are installed by specialists, engineers and technicians from Zewail Foundation. Abdrabouh explained that the cabins provide a safe and clean environment for “the Egyptian White Army” while they are performing their duty towards the patients.
The arrival of medical cabins to state hospitals at the time when fears are renewed in Egypt and worldwide from the breakout of a second Coronavirus wave will provide protection and safety to “Egypt’s White Army” to confront any potential repercussions.
The produced cabins that have been sponsored by Allianz and designed and implemented by Zewail City are not only equipped for the Corona pandemic, but also for any urgent health or medical circumstances as its design assists medical teams to examine and withdraw samples without direct exposure to patients.
The medical isolation cabins are being installed in several state hospitals including the Kasr Al-Aini University, Al-Azhar University, Al-Hussein University Hospital, Al-Zahra’a University, Nasser Institute Hospital, Imbaba, Abbasiya, Beni-Swef Fever Hospitals, Om Al-Masryeen Hospital, Al-Waraaq Hospital and Al-Hawamdya Hospital, these are the ones that receive most of the Coronavirus patients as they are located in highly populated areas, in a step aiming at alleviating the state’s burdens.
