Egypt’s stocks start week in green, benchmark EGX 30 climbs 1.98%

 

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing 1.98 percent to 11,558 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) jumped 2.88 percent to 2,248 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped surged 1.72 percent to 14,145 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also advanced 2.48 percent to 3,278 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 edged up 2.66 percent to 2,296 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has on Sunday posted gains worth 11.8 billion Egyptian pounds ($751.7 million), ending the trading at 701.752 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached 4.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 493.803 million securities executed 38,208 transactions.
