Egypt: Establish startups online now, with more tax exemptions
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has directed on Sunday the establishment startups and entrepreneurs using digital notification through a platform set up to remove obstacles they might face.
al-Sisi granted the beneficiaries the facilities to open their virtual companies without necessity of existence a physical headquarter, regarding his meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Amr Talaat. This encouraging the youth and any one to establish their own project and company.
He also calling to expand the establishment of free investment technology zones through tax exemptions. As he directed to activate the white list in order to help these companies in importing the needed electronic components.
The president afforded a scholarship “Digital Egypt Initiative” for the outstanding graduates of specialised universities, considered as a part of the country’s effort. In addition to other initiative “Digital Egypt Cubs”, which aims to train the genius school students in ICT science, expected to start immediately.

The government has completed the digitization of all paper files at all ministries and government agencies, which amounted to 150 million documents, according to the minister.
Presidency’s spokesman Bassam Rady said the meeting focused on monitoring national communications and IT projects to attract investment.
