Banque Misr’s Mohamed El-Etreby elected chairman of Union of Arab Banks
Banque Misr chairman Mohamed El-Etreby was elected chairman of the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) on Wednesday for three years.
El-Etreby, who is also chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Banks, will succeed Sheikh Mohamed El -Jarrah El- Sabbah.
The Union, which was established in 1973, is an organisation responsible for fostering cooperation between Arab banks, developing of Arab financial business, and enhancing the financing role of Arab banks in the Arab World.
