Gulf markets fall, Saudi index up

Gulf stock exchange has varied on Monday as the investors secured gains amid falling oil prices and the general index of the Saudi stock market TASI rose to close higher.

Oil prices decreased with more than $4 a barrel on demand fears as disappointing Chinese economic data renewed global recession concerns.

TASI increased by 0.23 percent, while gaining 29.40 points to close at 12543.77 points.

The general index of Dubai Financial Market rose by 0.06 percent and gaining 2.31 points to close at 3,397.32 points.

Kuwait Stock Exchange indices have declined, and the general index of the Bahrain Stock Exchange slumped by 0.53 percent, losing 10.17 points to close at the level of 1902.06 points.

Moreover, Qatar Stock Exchange’s general index fall by 0.7 percent, losing 96.57 points to close at the level of 13699.63 points.
