Etihad Airways has signed an agreement with technology firm, Astra Tech, to allow customers to book flights using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Astra Tech’s chat app, BOTIM, Astra Tech said on Tuesday.
BOTIM, which is known as a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) app, has relaunched as an ultra app on Monday. One of the services BOTIM provides is a generative pre-trained transformer (GPT), and it will be the first GPT to work in Arabic, along with English.
As per the agreement between Etihad and Astra Tech, clients will be able to book their flights by typing details of the service they require and the technology will then be completing the booking by itself.
“Through the BOTIM GPT module developed by Astra Tech, flights and other travel-related services are integrated into the BOTIM app, offering a convenient and innovative way for customers to book Etihad flights,” said Astra Tech.
Astra Tech bought BOTIM last year for an undisclosed sum from 12 investors.
