Second edition of Egypt Mining Forum to kick off on July 18-19

The second edition of the annual Egypt Mining Forum will take place in Cairo on July 18-19, under the rubric “Building upon 120 Years of Geological Discoveries for a Decarbonised and Sustainable Future.” The Forum is organised by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The Forum will see the presence of international leaders and experts as it sheds light on the investment opportunities in the Egyptian mining sector which is witnessing unprecedented transformations in its legislation and procedures. The event will highlight the road map for the future of mining in Egypt as well as the investment and partnerships as a key factor to unlock the potential of the mining sector.

Moreover, the Forum encompasses 40+ speakers, including Minister of Petroleum Tarek el-Molla, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, along with number of mining ministers, high-level representatives of states and CEOs.

Minister al-Molla said the Forum would explore the current potentials of the Egyptian mining industry, as well as lay out the latest advancements in laws, licensing procedures, regulations, investment, and exploration prospects. It will examine strategies for tackling global and industrial challenges, accelerating dialogue on technology and sustainability contribution, and access to vital information to secure projects and create investments. In addition, the event will shed the light on the global mining industry in terms of the latest developments, current opportunities and challenges, as well as the initiatives to cut emissions while achieving a green transition.

Furthermore, 2,000+ decision makers will be participating in the Forum. It will provide participants with opportunities to network and establish new business partnerships. The event will highlight Egypt’s financing road map and the future of investment and partnerships as a key factor in unlocking the mining sector’s potential.

The Egypt Mining Forum will also feature a dynamic exhibition area, hosting 50 exhibitors and 34 sponsors representing various sectors across the mining value chain.
