Israel uses banned white phosphorus on Palestinian hospitals
Israel used banned mass destruction weapon, White Phosphorus, on Al-Dora Children Hospital east of Gaza on Friday, AlQahera News reported.
The occupation forces are known to use the banned weapon multiple times in Gaza as well as during the aggression on Lebanon in 2006.
According to Human Rights Watch, the usage of White Phosphorus has been verified through videos showing airbursts of artillery-fired white phosphorus over Gaza and Lebanon.
According to their website, the usage of such a weapon can set fires and burn people and objects.
It also has a significant combustible effect which can severely burn people and set structures, fields, and other civilian objects in the vicinity on fire.
“White phosphorus in Gaza, one of the most densely populated areas in the world, magnifies the risk to civilians and violates the international humanitarian law prohibition on putting civilians at unnecessary risk.” the report added.
Since the beginning of the aggression on civilians in Gaza, Israel has broken a number of International laws and committed various barbaric war crimes, killing at least 2,215 innocent civilians and injuring 8,714.
