During Wednesday’s closing, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has extended posting gains to eventually reach EGP 1.1 billion. The capital market has reached to EGP 383.534 billion.
The EGX indices closed in green.
The main index, EGX30 rose by 0.59% to end at 5690.67 p. EGX20 increased by 0.56% to close at 6546.05 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 inched up by 0.09% to conclude at 476.31 pts. Price index EGX100 hiked 0.26% to finish at 811.63 p.
During Wednesday’s closing, the trading volume has reached 75.789 million securities worth EGP 338.058 million, exchanged 16.914 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 168 listed securities; 51 declined, 75 advanced; while 42 keeping their previous levels.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers seizing 7.36% and 22.33% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 2.794 million and EGP 18.818 million excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers seizing 70.31% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 21.613 million excluding the deals.
