Morsi Approves Raising Pensions By 20%

The Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi has approved the Cabinet’s decision concerning raising the value of pensions by 20% last Sunday. 

Morsi has issued a law no. 80 of 2013 to amend the provisions of law no. 176 of 2005 by changing the article no. 1 which stipulates “pensions shall be raised by 15%” to be “pensions shall be raised by 20%”.

The Minister of Insurance and Social Affairs will issue the laws regulating the provisions of this law.
