Egypt to establish int’l Ras El Hekma airport – presidential decree

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued a decree establishing a new international airport in Matrouh Governorate, the country’s Official Gazette issue said on Tuesday.

The decree no. 152 of 2024 stipulates the allocation of state-owned lands spanning over around 1,785 feddans, almost 7.5 million square metres in the western north coast in Matrouh for the Civil Aviation Ministry to establish Ras El Hekma international airport.
