EGX ends week in red on May 30

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in red notes on Thursday, as the main index, EGX30 fell by 0.62 per cent, to 26,922.76 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 went down by 0.56 per cent, to 5,932.24 points.

The index, EGX100 index dropped by 0.81 per cent, to 8,554.56 points.

The total market cap reached 1,813,454,708,516 Egyptian pounds.

Arab and non-Arabs foreigners transactions were mainly buyers with a total of 2,232,339,701 Egyptian pounds, and 3,384,344,957 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 5,616,684,658 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers on Thursday

  1. The shares of Egyptian Transport (EGYTRANS) (ETRS.CA) jumped by 10.63 per cent, to close at the price of 3.540 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation (WKOL.CA) climbed by 10.03 per cent, to trade at the price of 117.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Tanmiya for Real Estate Investment (TANM.CA) surged by 8.91 per cent, to the purchasing price of 2.690 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers on Thursday

  1. The shares of Misr Fertilizers Production Company – Mopco (MFPC.CA) dived by 8.33 per cent, to close at 44.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Egyptian Gulf Marseilia For Real Estate Investment (MAAL.CA) declined by 6.73 per cent, to close at 2.910 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing (RUBX.CA) dropped by 6.07 per cent, to close at the price of 4.330 Egyptian pounds a share.
