Russian stocks rise as Monday trading opens

Russian stock indices started the trading session on Monday on a positive note, as per recent market data, according to TASS.

The MOEX Russia Index, which is denominated in roubles, saw a 0.36 per cent increase, reaching 3,244.87 points. Similarly, the dollar-denominated RTS Index also experienced a slight rise of 0.21 per cent, taking it to 1,145.62 points.

In currency markets, the dollar fell by 0.35 per cent against the rouble, bringing it to 89 roubles. The euro also saw a decrease, losing 0.8 per cent to stand at 95.77 roubles. Meanwhile, the yuan dipped slightly by 0.04 per cent, settling at 12.22 roubles.
