Russian stock indices experienced a decline after initially opening higher, according to data from the Moscow Exchange.
As of 10:15 am Moscow time, the MOEX index fell to 2,942.38 points, down 0.08 per cent, while the RTS index decreased to 1,049.91 points, a drop of 0.06 per cent.
In contrast, the yuan-to-ruble exchange rate has risen by 1.4 kopecks, reaching 12.053 rubles. Earlier, at 10:00 am Moscow time, the MOEX index had increased by 0.62 per cent to 2,963.21 points, and the RTS index also rose by 0.62 per cent to 1,057.38 points.
At the opening of trading, the yuan-to-ruble rate had increased by 1.1 kopecks compared to the previous session’s close, amounting to 12.05 rubles.
