AUB Egypt signs partnership with USAID Business Egypt Programme to advance sustainable finance
Ahli United Bank – Egypt (AUB Egypt) announced on Thursday a strategic partnership with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Business Egypt Programme to advance sustainable financing efforts.
The five-year Business Egypt Programme is funded by the USAID and implemented by DAI.
Hany El Rifaie, Head of Sustainable Finance and Sustainability at AUBE, signed the partnership agreement with and Yomna Mustafa, Chief of Party at USAID’s Business Egypt Programme.
“This landmark initiative stands as a testament to AUBE’s unwavering commitment to sustainable finance and sustainability … Together, we embark on a visionary green journey,” El Rifaie said in a statement.
Under this partnership, AUBE will have access to valuable capacity-building resources and technical services related to sustainable finance and sustainability in general and developing green products for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), he added.
For her part, Yomna Mustafa said: “This agreement signifies a crucial step towards achieving the Programme’s objectives of promoting sustainable financing by fostering deeper collaboration with key stakeholders.”
“This strategic focus will expand access to finance for SMEs, directly contributing to the Programme’s overarching goal. We believe this collaboration will serve as a catalyst for positive change withing sustainable finance ecosystem.”
