Egyptian Food Bank rushes aid to flood-hit families in New Valley

The Egyptian Food Bank has stepped in to provide critical relief to families affected by severe flooding in New Valley Governorate. Heavy rainfall inundated the Darb Al-Arbaeen area, damaging homes and disrupting lives.

In response, the food bank, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, delivered 124 food parcels to those most in need. Each package contained essential staples such as rice, pasta, oil, and legumes. The organisation has a proven track record of disaster relief, having distributed nearly 9.2 thousand tons of food aid in the past year alone.

Founded in 2004, the Egyptian Food Bank is committed to combating hunger and supporting vulnerable communities across the nation.
