Trade turnover between Russia and China is on track to reach last year’s record levels, according to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.
Speaking at a meeting with Chinese Finance Minister Lan Foan in Moscow, Siluanov highlighted the strong performance in bilateral trade, with positive trends observed over the first seven months of 2024.
The General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China reported that Sino-Russian trade totalled $136.67 billion from January to July 2024, marking a 1.6 per cent increase year-on-year.
This growth supports expectations of sustaining high trade volumes throughout the year.
