Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Tuesday, with the main index, EGX30 surging by 0.93 per cent to 31,018.48 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33 inched 1.22 per cent higher to 3,002.08 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 gained 1.36 per cent to 7,210.85 points.
The index, EGX100 index surged by 1.17 per cent, to 10,316.12 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,127,346,726,155 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 3,664,465,366 Egyptian pounds and 537,423,524 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Arabs were net sellers with a total of 4,201,888,890 Egyptian pounds.

- Shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment (KWIN.CA) climbed by 19.98 per cent to close at 31.710 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Egyptian Arabian Company Themar for Securities Brokerage SAE (EASB.CA) jumped by 19.91 per cent to close at 2.530 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Tanmiya for Real Estate Investment (TANM.CA) surged by 19.87 per cent to close at the price of 3.800 Egyptian pounds a share.

- Shares of AJWA for Food Industries Company – Egypt (AJWA.CA) sank by 11.17 per cent to close at the price of 74.620 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of National Housing for Professional Syndicates (NHPS.CA) dived by 10.81 per cent to trade at the price of 40.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool (GTWL.CA) shed 9.13 per cent to the purchasing price of 23.290 Egyptian pounds a share.
