Egypt pushes forward on EGP 2.25b Fayoum warehouse
Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Sherif Farouk, visited the strategic warehouse in Fayoum Governorate to oversee the progress of the project, which covers an area of 10 acres with investments reaching EGP 2.25 billion.
The project is being implemented by Fayoum Company for Stores and Warehouses and will serve Fayoum and more than four neighbouring governorates.
This project is part of the Ministry’s wider initiative, led by the Internal Trade Development Authority, to establish strategic food product warehouses in line with global standards. This follows directives from the President to secure long-term strategic reserves of essential goods.
