Nepal’s trade increases slightly in early fiscal year

Nepal’s international trade experienced a modest increase in the first two months of the current fiscal year, 2024-25, but fell short of expectations according to the Department of Customs.

Total imports increased slightly by 1.08 per cent to 262.54 billion Nepali rupees, while exports declined by 5.12 per cent to 25.09 billion rupees, resulting in a total trade value of 287.63 billion rupees during the first two months of the fiscal year.
