Afghan power company inks deals for 240 MW electricity

The Afghan power company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, signed three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with domestic companies to generate 240 megawatts of electricity.

The companies will produce 100 MW of energy electricity, 100 MW of thermal electricity, and 40 MW of coal-based electricity in Kabul. Afghanistan imports most of its electricity from neighbouring countries due to power shortages.
