Egypt’s investment minister reviews Forbes Tower project

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, met with Magnum Properties CEO Majid Marei, the real estate arm of Saudi Arabia’s Rawabi Holding Group, to discuss its $1-billion investment project in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, Forbes International Tower.

Forbes International Tower, the world’s first hydrogen-powered, zero-carbon emission tower, integrates advanced technologies in design, construction, and operation to source 100 per cent of its energy from renewable and environmentally friendly sources.

The project targets the highest sustainability standards and carbon neutrality by utilising hydrogen as a primary clean energy source, contributing around 75 per cent of the tower’s total electricity. Additionally, solar power will be harnessed through photovoltaic panels integrated into the building’s facade to generate the remaining 25 per cent of the required energy.
