Russia’s energy consumption is currently experiencing a 3.4 per cent growth rate, according to Fyodor Opadchy head of the System Operator of the Unified Energy System (UES).
Speaking at a meeting of the State Duma’s energy committee, Opadchy noted that this figure takes into account the leap year. Deputy Energy Minister Yevgeny Grabchak further elaborated that the country’s energy consumption is projected to increase by 3-3.5 per cent by the end of 2024.
