EGX closes on red note on Dec. 26

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Thursday. The main index, EGX30 went down by 0.16 per cent, to 29,957.97 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33, fell by 0.12 per cent to 3,077.31 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 dropped by 0.11 per cent, to 8,201.12 points.

The index, EGX100 index sunk by 0.06 per cent, to 11,269.09 points.

The total market cap reached 2,187,226,487,058 Egyptian pounds.

The Arabs and Non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 278,740,941 Egyptian pounds, and 994,685,766 Egyptian pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Egyptians were buyers with 1,273,426,708 Egyptian pounds.

Risers on Thursday

  1. Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) shares rose by 7.59 per cent, to close at the price of 4.250 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Grand Investment Capital (GRCA.CA) shares climbed by 7.01 per cent, to trade at the price of 10.690 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Alexandria Flour Mills (AFMC.CA) shares jumped by 5.91 per cent, to the purchasing price of 26.710 Egyptian pounds a share.

Fallers on Thursday

  1. Minapharm Pharmaceuticals (MIPH.CA) shares fell by 5.04 per cent, to close at 171.430 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. El Arabia for Land Reclamation (EALR.CA) shares declined by 4.85 per cent, to close at 50.780 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. El Ahram Co. For Printing And Packing (EPPK.CA) shares dropped by 4.54 per cent, to close at the price of 9.470 Egyptian pounds a share.
