Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, and EU Ambassador to Cairo, Angelina Eichhorst, agreed to form a joint working group to follow up on the implementation of trade and investment initiatives.
This group will ensure the successful execution of agreements and foster closer economic ties.
The meeting also covered key topics such as reducing trade barriers, improving product quality, and attracting more European investments. Both sides emphasised the need for a transparent and stable trade environment, improved infrastructure, and enhanced logistics.
Eichhorst praised Egypt as a strategic partner and highlighted the EU’s goal to create a competitive, inclusive trade environment that benefits both regions.
