Total investments of Egypt’s Social Insurance Authority 7.8% up in FY24

Total investments of Egypt’s National Authority for Social Insurance (NASI) rose 7.8 per cent year-on-year to 44.2 billion Egyptian pounds by the end of the fiscal year on June 30, 2024. The positive growth was highlighted in the annual report and final accounts reviewed by the Cabinet on Wednesday.

In addition to the rise in total investments, the authority’s investment fund achieved a remarkable 24.9 billion pounds in returns, reflecting a 33.24 per cent growth from June 2023. These strong financial results underscore the NSIA’s successful investment strategy and the authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Egypt’s social insurance system.

The Cabinet’s review of these figures signals a commitment to transparency and the effective management of public funds, ensuring the sustainability and growth of Egypt’s social insurance programmes for the future.
