The Afghan caretaker government’s approved on Sunday 17 development projects over the past three years, totalling 3 billion afghani (about $42 million), as reported by the office of the acting deputy prime minister for economic affairs.
The approved projects include the construction of the Arghandi Transport Terminal in Kabul, parking areas for freight vehicles in Herat, repair of railway projects, and extension of fibre optic networks across Kandahar, Helmand, and Farah provinces.
The office announced that the projects are set to create job opportunities for many local residents. In November last year, the commission approved 27 procurement projects totalling over $73 million.
