Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar held a meeting with Seychelles’ Foreign Minister Sylvestre Radegonde to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector, as per a Cabinet statement.
The talks focused on training Seychellois doctors and medical teams in various specialities, including advanced medical fields, at Egyptian hospitals.
The ministers also discussed sending Egyptian medical professionals to Seychelles to train local teams and meet specific healthcare needs.
Additionally, the meeting covered plans for treating Seychellois patients in Egyptian hospitals, sharing Egyptian expertise across the health sector, conducting surgeries in Seychelles, and supplying the country with necessary medicines.
Abdel Ghaffar reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Seychelles with high-level medical teams and comprehensive healthcare collaboration.
