Trade between Egypt and the Comoros recorded $3.6 million in 2024, down from $7.6 million a year earlier, according to recent figures published by Egypt’s state statistics agency, CAPMAS, on Sunday.
Egyptian exports to the Comoros dropped to $3 million from $6.2 million in 2023, while imports from the Comoros fell to $521,000 from $1.3 million.

- Miscellaneous manufactured goods – $738,000
- Preparations of vegetables, fruits and parts thereof – $449,000
- Boilers and mechanical appliances – $304,000
- Iron and steel – $253,000
- Miscellaneous food preparations – $232,000
Main Imports from the Comoros to Egypt in 2024:
- Coffee, tea, and spices – $516,000
- Essential oils and cosmetic preparations – $4,000
Egyptian remittances from the the Comoros totalled $315,000 million, while Comorians’ remittances from Egypt dropped reached $4,000.
