Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.40 per cent to 53,633.92 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 rose by 0.29 per cent to 6,047.31 points.
- The index EGX35-LV added 0.34 per cent to 6,386.45 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 surged by 1.51 per cent to 18,124.84 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 1.16 per cent to 23,984.11 points.
The total market cap reached 3,954,504,854,705 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 264,740,797 pounds and 5,271,218,644 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with 5,535,959,440 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline rose by 20.00 per cent, to close at the price of 142.800 pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills climbed by 20.00 per cent, closing at the price of 123.120 pounds a share.
- The shares of Aspire Capital Holding For Financial Investments jumped by 14.65 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.454 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Arabia for Investment and Development fell by 5.66 per cent, to close at 0.700 pounds a share.
- The shares of Industrial & Engineering Projects declined by 3.41 per cent, to close at 0.680 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of El Ahram Co. For Printing And Packing dropped by 3.35 per cent, to close at the price of 15.290 pounds a share.
