Jumia opens Egypt’s largest e-commerce warehouse

Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly inaugurated Jumia’s largest e-commerce logistics warehouse in the country, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance the company’s service quality and operational efficiency, the Egyptian Cabinet reported.

Spanning over 27,000 square metres, the fully integrated logistics centre is among Jumia’s largest investments in Egypt to date. It aims to boost storage and distribution capabilities, accelerate delivery times—particularly in Upper Egypt—and strengthen the company’s position in the local and regional markets.

Jumia Egypt CEO Abdelatif Olama said the new warehouse marks a significant leap in the company’s service offering and supports its vision to become a continent-wide platform that combines technology and logistics.

He added that the investment is a pivotal step in enhancing Jumia’s operational and service capabilities.

The facility’s strategic location and large capacity allow it to handle thousands of products across various categories. It is also equipped with the latest smart management and storage systems, enabling faster order processing and improved customer satisfaction.
